Caleb Furnell
Caleb Furnell played soccer and ran track in high school, growing up in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Furnell attended Utah Valley University, specializing in sprints from 2019 to 2024.
After finishing his track and field career at Utah Valley, he figured his athletic career was over when a friend called him to say there was a bobsled combine and that Furnell should try out. Furnell made the U.S. national team and, within the following year, was on the U.S. IBSF World Cup team as a push athlete.
We are thrilled to welcome Caleb Furnell as the very first Grand Marshal of Vineyard Days!
A proud Vineyard resident and Team USA Olympian, Caleb competed in the 2026 Winter Olympics as a push athlete on the U.S. four-man bobsled team. Before racing down Olympic tracks, Caleb was a standout sprinter and NCAA Regional qualifier at Utah Valley University, where he earned All-WAC honors and helped lead a championship relay team.
Known for his incredible work ethic, positive attitude, and competitive spirit, Caleb’s journey from Utah Valley University track athlete to Olympian happened in just over a year after attending a bobsled combine in Salt Lake City.
We are honored to have one of Vineyard’s own help lead this year’s parade and celebrate Vineyard Days with our community!
